Welcome to Brenda Boone Hope Center Foundation located in Meru, Kenya The Brenda Boone Hope Center facilitates when relevant, the rescue and rehabilitation of girls who have experienced or are risk for sexual, physical or psychological abuse. The center offers two different services: (1) The rescue of girls that have suffered rape or
sexual abuse from initial rescue and to include legal and medical services. (2) A training and certification school for those girls that have dropped out of school before the eighth grade. The center has a resident capacity of 30 girls at any one time but can also support up to 100 girls in the outreach program.
OUR MISSION
To provide a safe and caring home for girls who have undergone or who are at risk of experiencing sexual, physical, and emotional abuse.
To promote their recovery of physical, emotional and psycho-social health.
To protect and promote their rights and interests.
To offer job skill training and encourage economic independence.
OUR VISION
We envision a safe haven for girls to heal and thrive in vocational training. A center that stands beyond its walls and promotes awareness of the needed cultural changes against rape and other violent crimes.
We envision a growing and thriving center where the staff earns a fair wage and the land and buildings are owned by the center.
We also envision a self-sustaining center where the agriculture will help to support the day-to-day costs of operation.
